STANLEY CUP CHAMPION!
Mikael Samuelsson, Detroit Red Wings adds another impressive title to his merits. This time it is the Stanley Cup that will be added to the Olympic Games Gold medal and the World Champion Gold medal both in 2006. This was his first Stanley Cup appearance - impressive indeed!
After failing to close out the series at home in Joe Louis Arena during game 5 - this time just 35-seconds away from defeating the Penguins for the Stanley Cup - The Wings defeated Pens' in game 6 in Pittsburg by 3-2.
Mikael got 5 goals and 8 assists in the playoffs and 11 goals and 29 assists in the regular season stats - all achieved with the Salming Evolution stick.
